Water

The other name of the water is life. 70 percentage of human body have water. Let’s know briefly.

What is water?

Water is an odorless, colorless and tasteless transparent inorganic chemical substance. It is the main constituent of earth’s hydrosphere.

Chemical Symbol and structure of water.

The chemical formula of water is H2O. Here H2O indicates that, each of its molecules contains one Oxygen and two Hydrogen atoms.

The atomic number of oxygen is 8, which means that it has 2 electrons in the 1s orbital, 2 electrons in the 2s orbital and 4 electrons in the 2p orbital in accordance to the periodic table.

Chemical Properties.

Water undergoes various types of chemical reactions. One of the most important chemical properties of water is its ability to behave as both an acid and base. So, it takes part in acid-base reaction.

Again, when an active metal such as sodium is placed in contact with liquid water, it takes part in oxidation-reduction reaction.

Physical Properties.

Water has many important physical properties. Some of its physical properties are described briefly-The atomic molar mass of water is 18.0151 grams in per mole. Its melting point is 0o Celsius and boiling point is 100o Celsius. Density at normal temperature i.e. 25o C is 0.99701gm per cubic cm. Viscosity and surface tension of water is 0.8903 centipoise and 71.97 dynes per cm respectively.

Natural existence of water.

Several existence of water is found in the nature. As for example, it forms precipitation in the form of rain while aerosols in the form of fog. The solid state of water is called ice and the gaseous state of water is steam or vapor.

Water covers up about 71% of the earth’s surface, while the other 29% consists of constituents and islands.

It also exits in the air as water vapor, in the rivers and lakes, in the ground as soil moisture and even in every living being.

Importance of Water.

Water is a vital and indispensable source for all known forms of life. Though, it doesn’t provide any calories or organic nutrients, but every living being are directly dependent on it. And that’s why, the another name of water is called ‘Life’.

According to experts, it is ranked just next to oxygen. With more than half of our body weight is consists of it. We can’t survive for more than a few days without it. The Importance of water.

Some importance of water is mentioned below;

Maintaining body temperature.

Water is the most useful and helpful ingredients to maintain and regulate human body temperature.

Water as Nutrients Carrier.

Water is used in every cell of our body. Because, it travels throughout our body carrying nutrients and oxygen which are very much important.

Water in tissue and organ protection.

Water cushion our joints and ligaments and protects our tissues and organs from shock and damages. Again, it also acts as a lubricant for our joints and ligaments, mouth and digestive system creating saliva and in nose throat and eyes in creating mucus.

In Digestion and Absorption of foods.

In digestion and absorption process of human body, it is very important and it helps in the removal of wastes products from our body.

In Metabolism Process.

Water helps a lot in human metabolism process. Our body use it to sweat, urine and pass healthy bowels. Regular and sufficient intake of it helps to remove constipation.

Develop kidney functions.

Drinking more and sufficient it, increases our kidney functions a lot.

Boosting energy level.

For sufficient intake of it, helps to boost metabolic rate. This boost has a very positive impact on our energy levels.

Preventing dehydration.

When our body doesn’t get sufficient it in comparison to our body need, then dehydration occurs. Due to dehydration, different vulnerabilities may arise in our body like kidney failure. Sufficient intake of it can solve such critical problems.

Helps to lose body weight.

Researcher has found that, drinking sufficient it results to loss body fat and weight both in men and women. It helps more while we diet or do exercises to lose extra pounds.

Helps to improve mood.

We can lose control from our body for inadequate intake of it. Because of this reason, it can affect our mood. Besides, dehydration may result in fatigue and confusion as well as anxiety.

Helps to keep skin bright.

Adequate intake of it may help keeping your body skin hydrated. As a result, your skin brightness will be regulated.

Water requirements for a healthy person.

Taking sufficient it is good for health. But only taking sufficient it is not enough. Sufficient it should be taken in a proper way maintaining proper time.

We should be attentive taking sufficient water in each day for optimal health.

According to the National Academic of Science, Engineering and Medicine, general intake of it should be about 15.5 cups of it(about 3 liters) each day for men and 11.5 cups (about 2.12 liters) daily for women.

About 20% of it is consumed from the food we take every day. This amount of taking it should be increased when we do exercises or living in a hot weather.

To-do lists for fulfilling daily water requirements.

Importance of it to describe is not enough. It is indispensable for every sphere of our life. So, in order to meet the daily requirements of it, we can maintain some instructions below here-

We can carry a bottle in the car, at home or at work to meet the requirements to anywhere.

We can track and observe how much it we have taken.
