Types of decoration:
There are three types of decoration from the practical point of view. Namely- a. Mubah decoration, b. Mustahab decoration, c. Haram decoration.
A. Mubah or Permissible Adornment:
This is the adornment that is permissible in the Shari’ah and which the Shari’ah has permitted women to do. This includes revealing the beauty of a woman in the appropriate place and in front of her husband and mahram, wearing silk clothes and ornaments, using perfumes or perfumes, etc. This mubah or legitimate adornment does not earn reward and he is not guilty of sin by avoiding it.
b. Mustahab Adornment:
It is the adornment that is encouraged and encouraged in the Shariah. This level of grooming includes the customary Sunnahs. Such as cutting the goatee short, leaving the beard, performing miswak, rinsing the nose with water (during ablution), shortening the nails, filing between the fingers, plucking the armpit hair, cutting the hair below the navel, performing ablution with water, etc.[1]

c. Haram adornment:
It is adornment that is forbidden in the Shari’ah, about which a warning has been uttered. Such as plucking eyebrows, putting on fake hair, wearing similar clothes of men and infidels etc. Doing what is Haram is punishable and leaving it to follow the instructions of the Shari’ah earns good.
Adornment and extravagance:
Islam is a moderate way of life. Islam prefers moderation in all aspects of life. Young women love to do beautification and beauty work. But in this case it is necessary to be moderate and frugal. Allah praises those who take food and clothing without waste and says, وَالَّذِيْنَ إِذَا أَنْفَقُوْا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوْا وَلَمْ يَقُتُرُوْا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ قَوَامًا- ‘When they spend, they do not waste or miserly. Rather, they are in a state between these two fears’ (Furqan 25/67).
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, كُلُوْا وَاشْرَبُوْا وَالْبَسُوْا وَتَصَدَّقُوْا, فِىْ غَيْرِ إِسْرَافٍ وَلاَ مَخِيْلَةٍ ‘You eat, drink and wear clothes and do not waste charity and do it without pride’. [2] Ibn Abbas (RA) said: شِئْتَ وَالْبَسْ مَا شِئْتَ مَا أَخْطَأَتْكَ اثْنَتَانِ سَرَفٌ أَوْ مَخِيْلَةٌ ‘Eat and wear what you will, but let not two things defile you – extravagance and pride’.[3]
So it is obligatory for Muslim women to make the necessary lawful adornments with modest expenses. But if pride is added to these decorations, it will become haram.Purpose of Adornment: All adornment and adornment of Muslim women shall be for the amusement of the husband. As Allah says, وَلاَ يُبْدِيْنَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّ لِبُعُوْلَتِهِنَّ ‘And let them not reveal their beauty except to their husbands’ (Noor 24/31). The Prophet (pbuh) was asked: Which woman is better? He replied, “The one who makes the husband happy when he (the husband) looks at her”.[4] Another hadith came, narrated in Mu’awiyah al-Qusayri, who said, I said, O Messenger of Allah! How much of our shame will be covered, and how much will be left open? He said, protect your private parts from others except your wife and slave girl. I said, O Messenger of God! What do you think if people live together? He said, if you can’t show it to anyone, then definitely don’t show it. I said, O Messenger of God! If any of us are lonely? He said, “Allah is more exalted than people who are more shy towards Him”. [5] The above hadith shows that women will adorn themselves and show off their beauty to please their husbands.
Women’s beauty, beauty and elegance are the pride of women. She is given this form and youth only for her husband. A woman’s life has no value if she cannot give that form to her husband. So it is only natural that the makeup for which the organ is dedicated will also be specific to it. It is not permissible for anyone other than the husband to adorn and display it. With the passage of time, the variety of women’s makeup and cosmetics has increased. Among them, the rules of halal and haram are that the use of those cosmetics should not cause any damage to the body or the skin. It should not contain any illicit or impure substance and should not be characteristic of foreign women. Like vermilion, branch, tip etc. and it should not be exposed in front of Begana.
Therefore, within the limits of Shari’ah, a woman can use any cosmetic only to attract her husband’s attention. Can wear any dress in front of him, just for his amusement. The secret of love is hidden in this decoration. On the other hand, if the wife does not adorn herself for her husband; Rather, if she goes out or uses cosmetics for someone else, then surely she is against the love of her husband. Or she doesn’t need her husband’s love and attention. What women are unfortunate? She does not know that her husband may become addicted to other women due to her own fault.
Noteworthy in the matter of adornment : In the matter of adornment, care should be taken that the parts of the body are not visible but the whole body is fully covered. Also the dress should not be tight and resemble the infidels. Along with this, care should be taken to ensure that the clothes do not have different types of pictures. Cosmetics should not contain any harmful or harmful ingredients.
Prohibited adornments: Some of the prohibited adornments for women are mentioned below.- 1. Being naked or half-naked: It is not permissible for Muslim women to walk outside the house half-naked. Allah says, وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَاَ تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى ‘And you will stay in your homes. Do not display beauty like the ancient Jahili era’ (Ahaz 33/33). অন্যত্র তিনি বলেন,وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ ‘ And let them not reveal their beauty. But except that which manifests naturally. And let them put their head-cloths over their chests’ (Noor 24/31). Women must stay at home. If you have to go outside for any reason, you must keep the Shariah veil. But nowadays women go out naked or half naked. When wearing a saree, half of the stomach is exposed. A veil does not wear well when worn three-pitch. In any case, it is left on the chest. Some wear net-like clothing so that different parts of their body are visible. The Prophet (pbuh) said about the fate of these women:
صِنْفَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ لَمْ أَرَهُمَا قَوْمٌ مَعَهُمْ سِيَاطٌ كَأَذْنَابِ الْبَقَرِ يَضْرِبُوْنَ بِهَا النَّاسَ وَنِسَاءٌ كَاسِيَاتٌ عَارِيَاتٌ مُمِيْلاَتٌ مَائِلاَتٌ رُءُوْسُهُنَّ كَأَسْنِمَةِ الْبُخْتِ الْمَائِلَةِ لاَ يَدْخُلْنَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلاَ يَجِدْنَ رِيْحَهَا وَإِنَّ رِيْحَهَا لَيُوْجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيْرَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا.
“There are two classes of people in Hell, whom I have not yet seen. 1. A community that will have cattle drives in their hands, with which they will beat people. 2. Women who dress naked, who will attract men to them, and who will be attracted to men.
Their heads will be like those of camels with crooked shoulders. They will not enter Paradise. They will not even get the fragrance of Paradise. She is arrogant. And they are hypocritical women. None of them will enter Paradise except like a crow with white feet.
. Wearing tight clothing: The purpose of clothing is to cover. Which is worn to cover the pubic area, satar and beauty spots of women. As Almighty Allah says, يَابَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِيْ سَوْاطِكُمْ وَرِيْشًا – ‘O son of Adam! We have sent down upon you garments that cover your private parts and We have sent down the instruments of adornment’ (A’raf 7/26). This purpose cannot be fulfilled without loose and thick clothes. Because different attractive parts of the body are clearly visible in tight and thin clothes. So it is not permissible for Muslim women to wear such clothes. Although it is done in front of a mahram man and a woman. Because the woman will present the description of her organs to her husband. Allah has ordered women to cover their entire body. He said, وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ ‘And let them place their head-cloths over their chests’ (Noor 24/31). So the dress which reveals the beauty should be avoided.
Note that tight-fitting clothing is only permitted to be worn inside the house for the purpose of attracting the husband’s attention. But it should not be used in front of a woman or a woman, parents or children. [9] Similarly, it is permissible to use underwear only to attract the husband’s attention. It is illegal to use it for the purpose of deceiving others.[10]

4. Dressed in glory:
Allah Ta’ala is beautiful. He likes beauty and cleanliness. But it is not valid to waste time and money. Because Allah does not like the wasteful. And spendthrifts are brothers of Satan. On the other hand, the glory of the flower’s fragrance and form does not last forever. Everyone should remember this. Nowadays, many people wear different clothes to gain fame and popularity. It is forbidden to wear the dress of this fame. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ شُهْرَةٍ فِى الدُّدْنْيَا أَلْبَسَهُ اللهُ ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ الَلْهَبَ فِيْهِ نَارً – ‘Whoever wears clothes of fame in this world, Allah will disgrace him on the Day of Resurrection. Then a fire will be kindled in it’.[15]

6. Use of perfume:
